About the Data Science Internship Role

As an intern at Perpay, your main responsibility is to learn. Perpay values mentorship and offers students an opportunity to gain real work experience before graduation. During the 10-12 week program next summer (2026), you will have the opportunity to:

• Leverage expansive data sets to research, identify, and build features to train models and drive real impact.
• Apply your knowledge of topics such as modeling, statistical methodologies, and exploratory data analysis.
• Partner with business leaders and communicate solutions designed to drive company growth.
• Think proactively and futuristically to identify opportunities to contribute to Perpay’s long-term roadmap for Data Science.
• Develop the skills to succeed in a fast-paced tech start-up environment and contribute to Perpay’s unique culture.

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or will receive a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Expected graduation date between winter 2026 – summer 2027.
• Knowledge of machine learning and statistical research.
• Experience using SQL for acquiring and transforming data.
• Proficient in programming, analysis, and visualization using object-oriented programming languages (Python preferred).

Bonus Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a Master’s Degree or advanced technical degree.
• Previous work experience in a technical field.
• Experience with implementing machine learning solutions to production environments.
• Understanding of modern scalable data science platforms.
