The Tone:
This is a contract role at Russell Tobin, supporting a global leading entertainment and media organization, located in Franklin, TN. This position provides crucial administrative and data management support to a Film & TV team responsible for music cue sheet processing, copyright administration, and publishing registrations. The role focuses on accurate data entry and validation, directly impacting ownership tracking and royalty allocation processes within the music publishing domain. This is an entry-level opportunity offering hands-on training in the entertainment industry.

• Mission: To review, validate, and enter music-related data into internal systems to support ownership tracking, registrations, and royalty allocation processes.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Adobe (plus).
What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Cue Sheets: Review, collect, and process music cue sheet information for film and television productions.
• Maintain Data: Enter and maintain copyright, publishing, and work registration information within internal databases.
• Identify Details: Identify song ownership, writer information, publishing details, and usage data from cue sheets and supporting documentation.
• Ensure Accuracy: Ensure all records are accurately entered, validated, and maintained according to established procedures, supporting music registration and royalty allocation.
• Troubleshoot & Collaborate: Identify discrepancies, research issues, and escalate concerns while partnering closely with coordinators, team leads, and department staff to complete daily operational tasks.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career opportunity offering hands-on training in film, television, music publishing, and copyright administration.
• Experience: Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, operations, or related fields preferred. Music business, publishing, entertainment, or copyright experience is a plus.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills (advanced formulas preferred); proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook; excellent data entry, analytical, and organizational skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Basic Adobe experience is a plus.
