Corporate Safety and Human Resources Intern – Fall 2026 | Huitt-Zollars, Inc.
The Tone:
This is an internship at Huitt-Zollars, Inc., located in Dallas, TX. Huitt-Zollars is a leading Architectural and Engineering firm providing innovative planning, engineering, architectural and interior design, construction and program management, and design-build project delivery to clients. This role is crucial for supporting the day-to-day health and safety-focused and HR tasks, ensuring smooth operations in safety compliance, documentation, and various human resources functions, including talent acquisition efforts.

• Mission: This person supports the Human Resources department by handling safety documentation, compliance, and recruitment tasks to ensure efficient operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety Document Updates: Update safety documents, policies, and training materials to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Training Record Management: Track safety training schedules and follow up on any missing or incomplete records.
• Incident and Compliance Processing: Process safety paperwork, including incident reports and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Safety Program Support: Assist with ongoing safety initiatives, audits, and requirements as needed.
• Recruitment Assistance: Screen candidate resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate preparation for college or experienced hire recruitment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current local (North Texas) student studying in an accredited Safety, Human Resources, or Business Management (or equivalent) higher education program, seeking a future career in Safety/Human Resources. Non-local candidates willing to relocate at their own expense for the internship are also considered.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, but advanced proficiency and comfort in using Microsoft Office Suite and PC systems are essential.
• Skills: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, adaptability, strong written and verbal communication, work ethic, ability to take direction, and resourcefulness.
• Bonus: Any relevant safety certifications such as OSHA 10.
