The Tone:
This is an Experienced Professional role at Notion, located in San Francisco, CA. Notion is building a collaborative AI workspace where teams and agents think together, aiming to create one place for knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools. This role is critical as it supports executive-level understanding of key financial metrics, improves forecasting accuracy, and tackles high-profile strategic projects for the CFO and other key decision-makers. The individual’s contributions will be immediately impactful within a lean Corporate Finance team that advises on critical C-level decisions.

• Mission: Support executive financial understanding, improve forecasting accuracy, and lead high-profile strategic projects for key decision-makers.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Forecasting & Reporting: Partner with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to mint and report 3-statement forecasts, driving critical monthly and quarterly management reporting including Budget vs Actuals analyses, dashboards, and Board materials that precipitate business decisions.
• AI-Augmented Modeling: Pioneer AI-augmented financial modeling for Corporate Finance by applying emerging AI tools rigorously, developing reusable Finance skills and automation workflows, and evolving models from static spreadsheets into more modular, AI-enabled systems.
• Process & Data Management: Develop clockwork recurring processes to collect capital expenditures, tax, and other key inputs from the team, leading smarter, more data-driven modeling and tighter cross-functional collaboration, particularly in uncharted, high-impact areas.
• Capital Strategy: Oversee equity burn rate and shareholder pool tracking, ensuring alignment with long-term capital strategy.
• Strategic Planning & Analysis: Partner with Consolidations and Business teams to develop long-range plans and evolve the forecasting process to uplevel forecast accuracy, while also tackling new and evolving priorities for the team, including ad hoc analyses.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experienced professional in investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate finance.
• Experience: 6+ years experience in investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate finance, with demonstrated experience building 3-statement operating models.
• Skills: Excellent financial modeling with an analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Prior experience managing Free Cash Flow (both direct and indirect method), experience with a high-growth SaaS company, and experience with Netsuite, Workday, Zip, and planning tools.
