Corporate Development Senior Analyst | Equinix

This is a Senior Analyst role at Equinix. Equinix provides the world’s digital infrastructure, shortening the path to connectivity to enable global innovations. This role is central to supporting regional business planning, strategic initiatives, and new business development research, while building partnerships to consult on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate investments.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Support regional business planning, strategic initiatives, and new business development research, including critical investment and M&A evaluations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Management: Evaluate real estate strategy for each metro, support capital expenditure forecasts, and assist in preparing business cases for new developments.
• M&A Analysis: Analyze trends and deal activity in relevant sectors and support the development of M&A theses for business units.
• Strategic Research: Conduct independent competitive market research on trends that could impact the business, as assigned by senior leadership.
• Project Support: Support internal consulting projects focused on new markets, products, growth initiatives, and profitability improvements.
• Financial Analysis: Perform financial modeling, IRR models, and ad hoc financial analysis to support investment analysis for various business units.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level professional with a foundational understanding of corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development principles.
• Experience: At least 3 years of business experience, preferably in Investment Banking, top-tier Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Development at a leading technology company.
• Skills: Financial modeling, investment analysis (IRR), competitive market research, business case preparation, presentation development.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPA or MBA a plus.
