Corporate Development and Investor Relations | Superhuman

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Superhuman, with the flexibility to be based remotely. Superhuman operates as an AI productivity platform that aims to unlock potential, integrating AI into over 1 million applications and websites through products like Grammarly, Coda, Mail, and Go. M&A is a significant part of Superhuman’s growth strategy, and this high-visibility, high-impact role is crucial for formulating and executing that strategy, managing investor relationships, and optimizing the capital structure within the Finance organization.

• Mission: Formulate and execute M&A strategy, build and maintain relationships with investors, and ensure an optimal capital structure.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Relationship Building: Build strategic relationships with founders, executives, investors, and advisors that align with M&A priorities.
• M&A Strategy & Analysis: Develop acquisition theses and market analyses, including financial modeling and valuation for potential acquisitions.
• Deal Execution: Drive deal execution, including negotiation, due diligence, and integration planning, in concert with stakeholders.
• Investor Relations: Play a leadership role in quarterly and ad hoc Board of Directors and investor reporting and engagement.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Forge strong cross-functional partnerships to source and align on strategic priorities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience in both in-house Corporate Development and advisory roles such as investment banking, consulting, or investing. Possesses a strong analytical foundation and intense intellectual curiosity related to technology (especially AI), business strategy, and finance.
• Experience: A track record of building relationships with founders, executives, and investors. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manage tasks and priorities across multiple projects, and thrive in results-driven environments.
• Skills: Crisp verbal, written, and visual communication skills; Collaboration mindset with the ability to partner and influence effectively; Reputation for quality, attention to detail, and initiative.
• Bonus: An established network of founders/executives and investors. Experience leveraging generative AI for research, analysis, and communication. A sense of humor.
