Corporate Accounting Co-op – Summer 2027 | Fifth Third Bank

What You’ll Actually Do
• Closing Support: Support the month-end and year-end closing processes for corporate accounting.
• Reporting Assistance: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and various reports.
• Data Accuracy: Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Compliance Participation: Participate in internal audits and compliance reviews to uphold standards.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights to support informed decision-making.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing an Accounting, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or related degree. Must be a rising sophomore, rising junior, or rising senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required; however, relevant internships and/or co-op program experience is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong communication and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Bonus: Capacity to learn additional software applications as required by the assignment.
