Corporate Accounting Co-op – Fall 2027 | Fifth Third Bank

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes for corporate accounting.
• Prepare Financial Reports: Help in the preparation of financial statements and various internal and external reports.
• Reconcile Accounts: Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Participate in Audits: Engage in internal audits and compliance reviews to maintain regulatory adherence.
• Analyze Financial Data: Examine financial data and provide insights to support informed decision-making within the department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an Accounting, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related degree, and must be a rising sophomore, rising junior, or rising senior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Experience: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Bonus: Relevant internships and/or co-op program experience, along with the capacity to learn additional software applications as required.
