Core Ops Intern | Etched

The Tone:
This is an internship at Etched, located in San Jose, CA, for Fall ’26, Spring ’27, and Summer ’27 cohorts. Etched is developing the world’s first AI inference system specifically for transformers, aiming to deliver over 10x higher performance and significantly reduced costs and latency compared to existing GPUs. This groundbreaking technology enables the creation of previously impossible products, such as real-time video generation models and complex chain-of-thought reasoning agents. The Core Operations team tackles critical challenges across the organization and works directly with the leadership team, offering interns an opportunity to contribute directly to the company’s strategic direction within this rapidly growing industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution: Support the execution of high-priority, high-scope projects, ensuring measurable outcomes that align with company objectives.
• Strategic Analysis: Assist in preparing strategic insights and actionable recommendations for the leadership team through rigorous data analysis.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to track progress and ensure timely, high-quality execution of key projects across departments.
• Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with leadership to set and track key performance indicators, monitoring organizational performance for optimization opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Previous internship experience in demanding, high-responsibility roles within a startup environment.
• Skills:
• Ability to manage and deliver multiple concurrent high-impact projects from beginning to end.
• Demonstrated skill in fostering alignment across diverse teams, ensuring accountability, and achieving project outcomes.
• Proficiency in rapidly synthesizing complex information, crafting compelling presentations, and analyzing intricate data sets.
• Comfort operating within ambiguous situations and adapting to a rapidly evolving environment with shifting priorities.
