The Tone:

This intern role is vital to the Content Ecosystem team, which is dedicated to the health and prosperity of content users and creators. The position directly contributes to building and maintaining a compliant, healthy, and high-quality global content environment, directly impacting long-term daily active users (DAU) by balancing traffic, optimizing distribution, and enhancing both user and creator experiences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Governance Strategy: Participate in developing governance strategies for TikTok’s content ecosystem and creators to maintain a compliant, healthy, and high-quality global content environment.
• Ecosystem Issue Management: Manage the governance process for ecosystem issues, collaborating with identification teams on recommendation strategy and governance link design, specifically addressing risks like marketing accounts, low-quality accounts, and non-original content.
• Strategy Design and Optimization: Support the design and iteration of governance strategies and experiment plans, proposing optimization strategies based on content understanding and consumption data analysis, and coordinating with algorithm and product teams for implementation.
• Ecosystem Health Monitoring: Mechanistically monitor the health of the ecosystem, track governance effectiveness, accumulate cases and data insights, and continuously work to improve governance efficiency and outcomes.
• Project Follow-up: Follow up on the progress and implementation of cross-departmental projects to ensure that established governance goals are achieved on schedule.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. Ideal candidates will be majoring in media, data, business analysis, Internet, or other related fields, demonstrating a foundational understanding relevant to digital content ecosystems.
• Experience: Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
• Skills: Clear and logical thinking, strong communication and coordination skills, and a demonstrated awareness of effective cross-departmental collaboration and project implementation are essential. The role requires a result-oriented individual who is proactive, a fast learner, and capable of adapting swiftly to the rapid pace of the Internet industry.
• Bonus: A strong interest in TikTok and its global content ecosystem, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for content governance and a proactive problem-solving mindset, is preferred. Familiarity with short-video and content platforms, creator ecology, content norms, risky behaviors, and governance logic would be highly advantageous.
