Content Design Intern (Monetization Ads) – 2026 Summer (BS/MS) | TikTok
The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, located in various US cities, potentially including Los Angeles. TikTok is a leading destination for short-form mobile video, aiming to inspire creativity and bring joy, while its UED Monetization team helps clients connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. The Content Design Intern role is crucial for learning how UX writing supports product experiences by ensuring clarity and consistency across TikTok’s business services, enabling clients to effortlessly achieve their goals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Write UI Copy: Write and iterate on clear, conversational UI copy for ads and monetization experiences, including labels, buttons, helper text, and system messages.
• Collaborate on Workflow: Partner with product design, PM, engineering, research, and localization teams to learn the workflow and integrate feedback efficiently.
• Maintain Content Standards: Help maintain and apply content guidelines, voice, and terminology to ensure consistent experiences across different surfaces and markets.
• Participate in Critiques: Actively participate in design critiques and reviews, using insights to improve clarity, consistency, and overall content quality.
• Support Process Improvement: Support process improvements aimed at scaling content work, such as organizing patterns, documenting decisions, and tracking common issues.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, with a strong interest in UX writing, content design, product writing, communications, HCI, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to write clearly and revise quickly based on feedback, comfortable collaborating in a cross-functional environment, and able to commit to a 12-week full-time work period during Summer 2026.
• Skills: Clear writing, rapid revision, cross-functional collaboration, understanding of content guidelines.
• Bonus: A portfolio of writing samples (class projects are acceptable) that demonstrates clarity, audience awareness, and iteration; familiarity with design collaboration tools such as Figma; and an interest in how words function within product UI.
