Content Design Intern (Monetization Ads) – 2026 Summer (BS/MS) | TikTok

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at TikTok, focused on Content Design for Monetization Ads. TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, aiming to inspire creativity and bring joy globally, and enabling clients to connect with audiences. The role supports product experiences by crafting clear UI copy that helps clients achieve their business goals and explore new possibilities on the platform, ensuring consistency and value creation. This position emphasizes learning fundamental skills and exploring career paths within a collaborative design team.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Copywriting: Write and iterate on clear, conversational UI copy for ads and monetization experiences, including labels, buttons, helper text, and system messages.
• Collaboration: Partner with product design, PM, engineering, research, and localization teams to understand workflows and incorporate feedback promptly.
• Standardization: Help maintain and apply content guidelines, voice, and terminology to ensure consistent user experiences across different surfaces and markets.
• Improvement: Participate in design critiques and reviews, applying learnings to enhance clarity, consistency, and overall content quality.
• Optimization: Support process improvements for scaling content work, such as organizing patterns, documenting decisions, and tracking common issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with a strong interest in UX writing, content design, product writing, communications, or HCI.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to write clearly and revise content quickly based on feedback, comfortable collaborating in a cross-functional environment.
• Skills: Clear UI copywriting, rapid content iteration, cross-functional collaboration, application of content guidelines.
• Bonus: A portfolio of writing samples (including class projects) demonstrating clarity, audience awareness, and iteration; familiarity with design collaboration tools like Figma, and an interest in product UI language.
