Content Creator Intern | Fortera

The Tone:
This is an internship at Fortera, located in San Jose, CA. Fortera is transforming one of the world’s largest industries by reinventing how cement is made, developing next-generation technology that reduces CO₂ emissions by up to ~70% and mineralizes CO₂ into a valuable building material. This role helps share Fortera’s brand, technology, and culture through compelling visuals and social media content, supporting the company’s move from first-of-a-kind deployment to scaled commercialization. • Mission: Creates compelling visual and social media content to share Fortera’s brand, technology, and culture across digital platforms.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Production: Capture and produce high-quality photo and video content showcasing team members, projects, events, and company initiatives.
• Digital Content Creation: Create short-form and long-form content for various social media and digital platforms.
• Social Media Support: Assist with social media management, including drafting posts, scheduling content, and monitoring engagement.
• Campaign Collaboration: Collaborate with the Marketing & Creative team on content campaigns and brand initiatives.
• Asset Management: Help maintain organized digital asset libraries of photos, videos, and graphics.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field, with at least three years of study completed by the internship start and one academic term remaining afterward.
• Experience: Proven experience with photography and/or videography, familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube), and basic video editing skills, supported by a required portfolio.
• Skills: Strong interest in content creation and digital storytelling, basic knowledge of content editing tools, strong communication and attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, understanding of social media trends, and a creative eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling.
• Bonus: Experience creating content for a brand or organization, and the ability to adapt content styles for different platforms.
