What You’ll Actually Do
• Design Interpretation: Interpret design drawings for takeoffs and workforce planning during bidding and building construction projects.
• Documentation: Prepare and distribute all required project documentation, including status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material requirement calculations, to supervisors.
• Technical Support: Provide essential technical support and direction regarding project materials meeting specifications, delivery dates, and construction schedules.
• Estimating Support: Assist with change orders and estimates by preparing necessary drawings and sketches to support estimating and construction work meeting evolving job requirements.
• Quantity and Pricing: Develop critical job data such as quantity take-offs and material pricing to ensure accurate estimates and bids.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be actively working towards a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Technical training with related experience is also preferred.
• Experience: Requires 0 to 2 years of experience in construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or a similar capacity.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the ability to perform trigonometric calculations manually or with a calculator, and the capacity to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others.
• Bonus: A team player with the ability and willingness to abide by the Company’s Code of Conduct, a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive, and a safety-conscious mindset, especially when working around large construction equipment.
