About the Role
The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join its Communications team as a Communications Intern. The intern will collaborate with CEPA’s Communications team to support external communications and enhance CEPA’s digital presence across multiple platforms. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communications, public relations, and digital media within an international policy-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
• Assist in managing CEPA’s social media platforms, including content creation and scheduling;
• Help draft and edit website content, newsletters, press releases, and other publicfacing materials;
• Support multimedia production, including videos, graphics, and podcasts;
• Monitor media coverage and compile media reports;
• Conduct research on media trends and assist with audience engagement strategies;
• Provide logistical support for CEPA’s public events, including webinars, panels, and conferences;
• Collaborate with the Communications team on strategic initiatives to increase CEPA’s visibility.
You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Public Policy);
• Have minimum junior or senior standing in undergraduate studies, or enrollment in a graduate program;
• Possess strong research, analytical, and writing abilities;
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Are proficient in social media platforms (XTwitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and digital tools (Hootsuite, Canva, or similar);
• Are familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams);
• Have demonstrated interest in CEPA’s mission and focus areas, such as European policy, tech policy, or democratic resilience;
• Possess basic knowledge of global and regional politics, media trends, or relevant industry topics;
• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Are a team player with a proactive and creative approach;
• Have adaptability and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment;
• Are able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively;
• Can commit to three months, with agreed-upon hours per week, between 20-40 hours.
Bonus Qualifications
• Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.
Role Highlights & Compensation
• Schedule: Full or Part-time (20-40 hours per week, unpaid internship)
• Location: Washington, DC
• Ability to work in CEPA’s office or remotely, depending on role requirements.
• This internship is unpaid.
