Banker Analyst – Commercial & Specialized Industries | JPMorganChase
The Tone:
This is a rotational program for an Analyst role at JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions globally. JPMorganChase offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses, and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional, and government clients under the J.P. Morgan and Chase brands. This role is designed for individuals who are customer-focused and eager to learn about financial solutions for middle market clients. As an Analyst, you will work both independently and as part of a team, supporting Bankers and Treasury officers in introducing a broad spectrum of banking and payments solutions. The program is designed to develop your financial and client-facing skills, building a career in the financial services industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Work on complex financial models to support a variety of financing transactions.
• Credit Documentation: Assist in the thorough completion of credit approval memos, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Client Engagement Materials: Prepare comprehensive marketing materials for use in client meetings, covering key topics such as financing alternatives, strategies for working capital optimization, and in-depth industry analysis.
• Treasury Solutions Identification: Learn how to identify and propose specific treasury product solutions that can effectively benefit clients’ long-term financial planning and operational efficiency.
• Product Knowledge Development: Develop a deep understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan’s extensive product and service offerings across various banking domains.
• Business Development Research: Conduct detailed client and prospect research to proactively support ongoing business development efforts and identify new opportunities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level position requiring a minimum GPA of 3.2. A completed BA/BS degree is necessary, with a preference for Business, Finance, or Accounting majors, although all majors will be considered.
• Experience: While this is an analyst program, 1+ years of relevant experience post-college graduation is a plus, particularly in financial services, accounting, or a related field. Some prior exposure to credit fundamentals or previous client interaction is also beneficial.
• Skills: Candidates must demonstrate superior analytical capabilities, keen attention to detail, and a proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a creative mindset, are also required.
• Bonus: Knowledge of the market dynamics and its broader business environment is preferred.
