Co-op – AI and Business Architecture | Philips
The Tone:
This is a 6-month co-op opportunity at Philips, located in Murrysville, PA or Cambridge, MA. What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate AI Initiatives: You will support the coordination and management of new AI initiatives by processing requests from multiple business functions, maintaining comprehensive visibility, tracking progress, and ensuring consistent communication across all involved stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Technology Partners: You will work closely with technology teams to clearly articulate incoming AI requests, translating complex business problems into specific technical requirements. Furthermore, you will assist requesters with the initial testing of solutions to verify their quality, alignment with needs, and readiness for broader adoption.
• Develop Adoption Metrics: Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing clear adoption indicators to effectively measure the utilization of new AI tools and solutions. You will also contribute to establishing and operating the management model that regularly reviews initiative status, adoption rates, and associated costs for consistent oversight.
• Organize Business Architecture: You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining MIRO-based business architecture materials, encompassing strategic views and high-level process models. This ensures intuitive access for ongoing transformation projects, allowing you to identify new opportunities and link them to planned programs for 2026 and 2027.
• Document Technical Architecture & Support Operations: You will source, consolidate, and thoroughly document the technical architecture that underpins Safety & Regulatory Compliance (S&RC) business processes, ensuring completeness and clarity. Additionally, you will assist with daily departmental activities, including research, data analysis, report generation, cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining critical documentation to enhance operational efficiency.
The Must-Haves
• Background: You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate (Bachelor’s) or graduate (Master’s) program within a technical field, possessing a foundational understanding of AI concepts and their capabilities.
• Experience: You should demonstrate the ability to effectively evaluate business needs and translate them into practical requirements for AI solutions.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating across diverse teams within a dynamic work environment. You should also bring a continuous-improvement mindset and a strong eagerness to learn industry-specific tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Bonus: Some prior intern or co-op experience is preferred for this role.
