Clinical Operations Manager | Caribou

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Caribou, located remotely with potential for hybrid work or team meet-ups in Montréal. Caribou is building an AI-powered platform to transform diagnoses into personalized, holistic wellness plans, bridging the gap between clinical consultations and daily health management. As a small team, this role is critical for establishing clinical validation and research operations, ensuring the platform’s effectiveness and ethical implementation through direct patient and partner engagement.

• Team: Supervised directly by co-founders with backgrounds in public health, community health, patient-centred design, and data analysis.
• Mission: This person owns bringing together mixed methods research and leadership tasks to establish clinical validation and research operations for Caribou Health.
• Tech Stack: electronic data capture systems, internal dashboards

What You’ll Actually Do
• Clinical Validation: Lead the coordination and execution of validation studies for Caribou Health across various community health settings.
• Protocol & Ethics Management: Develop study protocols, consent documentation, and manage all ethics submissions and regulatory compliance for research activities.
• Participant & Site Coordination: Coordinate participant recruitment, engagement, and serve as the main point of contact for clinics, patients, and end users during studies.
• Data Management & Analysis: Oversee the collection, entry, and verification of participant and site data related to app usability, engagement, and health outcomes.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between external partner clinics, university health networks, and internal product/leadership teams, providing regular updates on study progress.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level professional with mixed methods research experience, including survey design, community engagement, and quantitative analysis.
• Experience: Coordinating and executing validation studies in community health settings, coupled with leadership experience managing an intern.
• Skills: Study protocol development, research ethics application preparation, and data management for app usability and health outcomes.
