Clinic Assistant | Fulton County Schools

• Mission: To assist in the day-to-day operations of the school health clinic, monitoring and supporting the health and well-being of students.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Clinic Supervision: Monitor the daily activities and overall function of the school health clinic under the direct guidance of the school administration.
• Student Observation: Observe and attend to ill or injured students requiring care while they are present in the school health clinic.
• Stakeholder Communication: Initiate appropriate contact with school administrators and parents or guardians regarding students who have been sent to the school health clinic for attention.
• First Aid Administration: Administer basic first aid procedures to students as needed in response to minor injuries or illnesses.
• Professional Development: Participate in mandatory pre-service and ongoing service meetings to stay current with established procedures and requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possession of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Required completion of a health or equivalent course in first aid/CPR. Some experience working with children is preferred.
• Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate techniques for administering basic first aid; proven ability to work effectively with administration to implement program objectives; capacity to handle confidential information with discretion; strong attention to detail and task orientation; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
