What You’ll Actually Do
• Claim Process Management: Contact involved parties to describe the claim process, initiate the completion of necessary claim documentation, confirm the exact amount of loss, and process claim payments as dictated by established Company guidelines.
• Exception Handling & Customer Inquiry: Acquire knowledge of basic, limited claim handling procedures, with the ability to recognize when exceptional circumstances—such as coverage questions, claim denials, or customer complaints—require the immediate involvement of a Branch Manager, Claim Supervisor, or a more senior Claim Representative. Additionally, answer customer inquiries thoroughly related to their pending or unresolved claims.
• Subrogation & Salvage Support: Provide essential assistance in handling subrogation efforts to recover funds from responsible parties, and support salvage operations related to claimed property, contributing to the overall claim resolution process.
• Administrative & System Functions: Perform various crucial support staff functions, including the proficient use of computer-based information for reference, accurate data entry into computer systems, and developing specialized habits related to assigned work to ensure operational efficiency.
• Licensing & Attendance: Study diligently and obtain the appropriate adjuster’s license(s), if required by statute in the jurisdiction of employment, within the time frame prescribed by the Company or relevant statute. Furthermore, maintain regular and predictable attendance in meeting a defined work schedule to consistently achieve service objectives.

• Background: Entry-Level. High school education or its equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in customer service.
• Skills: Above average written communication; Above average verbal communication; Ability to use computer-based information and systems; Ability to recognize exceptional circumstances in claim handling.
