About the Role
This is a Civil Engineering Internship at KPFF Austin, designed for motivated and energetic students who are Juniors or above, including those pursuing a master’s degree. Interns are incorporated directly into project teams to work on civil engineering projects, gaining practical experience and professional development through mentorship from senior-level engineers.
What You’ll Do
• Work as part of dynamic teams on challenging projects directly with clients.
• Visit job sites to inspect existing conditions and document potential scope of work.
• Apply established engineering principles to solve problems and/or overcome obstacles.
You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are a Civil intern who is a Junior or above, including students pursuing a master’s degree.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have the ability to visit job sites to inspect existing conditions and document potential scope of work.
• Can sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time at a desk working on a computer and viewing a screen.
• Have the ability to learn and apply established engineering principles to solve problems and/or overcome obstacles using sound judgment, independent decision making, and prolonged focus.
• Are motivated and energetic.
