Product Engineer | Carrier
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Carrier, located in-person. Carrier is a global leader in healthy, safe, sustainable, and intelligent building and cold chain solutions, specializing in products like chillers. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality assurance of chiller products, contributing directly to Carrier’s commitment to high-performance and reliable solutions for its customers. The Product Engineer acts as a bridge between design and manufacturing, optimizing product lifecycle from concept to aftermarket support.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee Product Manufacturing and Testing: Ensure chiller products are manufactured in the factory, adhering strictly to drawings, specifications, and non-standard order requirements, and support all necessary product testing, including witness and energy saving tests.
• Drive Design Enhancements and ETO Support: Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineers to propose design improvements that boost chiller performance, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturability, serviceability, and quality, while also supporting Engineer-To-Order (ETO) design and manufacturing efforts.
• Support Data Center and Cost Reduction Projects: Provide comprehensive support for Data Center application projects, including document preparation, meeting participation, and selection processes, and lead cross-functional initiatives to implement cost-down measures, including supplier selection, qualification plan development, and saving calculation.
• Resolve Quality Issues: Conduct troubleshooting on job sites, support aftermarket services to address chiller quality issues, and, when necessary, lead quality improvement projects related to design.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master or Bachelor degree with a major in HVAC or a related engineering area.
• Experience: Proficiency with MS Office suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel VBA.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, primarily in English (oral, reading, and writing fluently, with CET-6 certification); demonstrated teamwork abilities; excellent interpersonal skills for effectively communicating with internal and external customers; strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: Experience with FORTRAN, C, MatLab, or Python software for engineering simulation, optimization, and data analysis capability.
