This is a full-time executive role at The Quest Organization, serving a rapidly growing Single Family Office. This organization is dedicated to comprehensive financial management and strategic investment across a highly diversified portfolio. As the Chief Financial & Investment Officer, you will serve as a crucial trusted advisor to the Principal, directly influencing key financial and investment decisions. This highly visible position is fundamental to overseeing the financial strategy, in-depth investment analysis, detailed portfolio reporting, and disciplined capital allocation across a broad spectrum of assets, including public securities, private equity, real estate holdings, and various operating businesses. The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, combining advanced investment analytical skills with robust strategic financial leadership.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Evaluation: Actively evaluate a diverse range of investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, providing detailed insights and analytical support to inform strategic decision-making.
• Capital Strategy: Provide nuanced strategic recommendations focused on optimal capital allocation, sophisticated portfolio construction, and proactive risk management frameworks to protect and enhance the diversified portfolio.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial reporting, conduct rigorous performance analysis, and generate comprehensive net worth reporting for the Principal, including analyzing the financial performance of operating companies and real estate investments.
• Strategic Support & Partnerships: Develop sophisticated financial models and provide essential analytical support for critical strategic investment decisions. Concurrently, partner effectively with external tax, legal, and specialized investment advisors to ensure integrated advice.
• Governance & Controls: Lead efforts to enhance and strengthen financial reporting processes, internal control environments, and overall governance frameworks, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive-level experience, requiring 15 or more years in a specialized financial environment such as a single family office, private equity firm, investment management group, or corporate finance role.
• Experience: Demonstrated 15+ years of experience in actively overseeing and managing diversified investment portfolios, coupled with strong practical skills in financial modeling, intricate investment analysis, and comprehensive strategic planning.
• Skills: Proven capabilities in advanced financial modeling, in-depth investment analysis, strategic financial planning, the ability to effectively synthesize complex financial information into clear actionable recommendations, along with exceptional communication skills and a strong executive presence.
• Bonus: Preferred candidates will possess advanced credentials such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or other relevant advanced qualifications.
