The Tone:
This is an internship at Stantec, located in Alpharetta, GA. Stantec’s Water business unites engineers and scientists to approach community interaction with water as a single, holistic system, delivering sustainable solutions across the entire hydrologic cycle. • Team: Industrial Water team within Stantec’s Water practice.
• Mission: Support projects that optimize water systems from capture, use, reuse, treatment, to discharge, helping clients increase water efficiency and protect resources through cost-effective strategies.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, process modeling software

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Assist the local project delivery team with report and documentation preparation, project administration, and research efforts.
• Engineer: Develop spreadsheet calculations to support various engineering tasks and create process engineering documents including flow diagrams, piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), engineering lists, process data sheets, and performance specifications.
• Document: Write comprehensive documents that effectively summarize work performed and key findings for projects.
• Monitor: Perform essential site inspections, conduct construction observations, provide start-up and commissioning support, and prepare detailed reports related to these activities.
• Facilitate: Assist with project permit applications, their preparations, and processing, while also attending project meetings and helping with the recording of meeting minutes to ensure project schedule requirements are met.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s Chemical Engineering program or a related field. The role is for an Early Career professional.
• Experience: Requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential. Candidates must be highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute to the team.
• Bonus: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and process modeling software is considered a plus. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
