Cargo Agent (Customer Service Agent) | Delta Air Lines

This is an entry-level customer service agent position at Delta Air Lines, located at JFK airport in New York, NY. The TL;DR

• Mission: Interact directly with customers face to face and over the phone to ensure cargo is transported on time, every time, safely.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Interact: Serve as the face of Delta cargo by directly interacting with customers in person and over the phone.
• Transport: Ensure timely and safe transportation of cargo, contributing to Delta’s overall mission.
• Safety: Uphold the highest standards of safety and security for oneself, colleagues, and personal data.
• Support: Contribute to Delta’s commitment to welcoming and providing care for all customers during their travel.
• Schedule: Work flexible shifts, including early mornings to overnight, according to operational demands and flight schedules.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States.
• Skills: Possesses a valid driver’s license, basic digital literacy, ability to frequently lift items up to 50 pounds, can pass a physical ability test, and is able to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Bonus: Previous cargo freight and warehouse operations experience is preferred; typing and general computer skills are also strongly preferred.
