What You’ll Actually Do
• Calendar Maintenance: Maintain the department’s calendar system by calculating and entering court-related deadlines for State and Federal courts.
• Deadline Tracking: Track important legal and filing deadlines across a high-volume caseload.
• Order Interpretation: Read court and judicial orders and rules, then manually adjust and enter relevant calendar deadlines as needed.
• Filing Documentation: Docket hearings, discovery, and all information related to court filings.
• Event Scheduling: Calendar deadlines related to depositions, mediations, court appearances, and similar tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience calendaring in a legal support role, preferably within employment law.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience calendaring in Employment law is preferred. Experience reading court and judicial orders to identify and adjust calendar dates based on judges’ rules is also preferred.
• Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a high-volume environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel; knowledge of local court rules, procedures, and timelines for filing deadlines; experience using calendaring software such as Milana, CLIO, or Filevine; typing at least 40 WPM.
• Bonus: Bilingual in Spanish.
