Business Development Manager — Fluoropolymer Materials (North America) | MadeNext
The Tone:
This is a full-time, on-site role at MadeNext, located in Brooklyn, NY. MadeNext is a global sourcing partner specializing in high-performance materials for advanced electronics and technology supply chains. This role is essential for identifying and developing new business opportunities for fluoropolymer materials, ensuring customers maintain resilient, reliable production through consistent access to qualified materials.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Prospecting & Qualification: Prospect and qualify leads for new business opportunities in fluoropolymer and related high-performance materials.
• Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial customer contact through proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
• Account Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts through regular communication and solution-based selling.
• Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal sourcing and operations teams to align material solutions with customer requirements.
• Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor market trends and competitive activity, provide regular sales forecasting and pipeline reporting, and participate in industry events.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; equivalent experience in technical sales or business development is also considered. Requires knowledge of fluoropolymer materials, engineered plastics, specialty films, or related high-performance materials.
• Experience: Strong business development and sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and deal closing. Experience with account management and customer relationship management. Strong negotiation and contract discussion capabilities focused on commercial terms and supply arrangements.
• Skills: Proficiency in using CRM software and standard productivity tools to track pipeline and performance. Effective written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical and commercial information to diverse stakeholders. Self-directed work style with strong organizational skills, including time management, prioritization, and follow-through.
• Bonus: Experience working with manufacturers in electronics, aerospace, medical, power electronics, or similar sectors is highly beneficial.
