Branch Operations Intern | Republic Finance

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Republic Finance, located onsite at one of our branch locations. Republic Finance is a leading consumer lending company serving over 250 communities across the US, well-known for outstanding customer service. This role provides an opportunity for college Juniors and Seniors seeking a finance or business-focused experience to learn daily branch functions and operations, understand the broader organization, and explore various career opportunities. Interns will gain real-world experience, contribute to community impact, and be introduced to potential long-term career paths.

The TL;DR

• Type: Part-time
• Location: In-person, Onsite
• Pay: $15 hourly
• Mission: Learn the daily functions and operations of a branch, assisting with customer service and loan processes, while exploring potential long-term career paths within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Training: Become licensed and complete an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the loan process and all necessary regulatory training.
• Loan Production: Assist in the daily production of loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings, including allocating and auditing files.
• Leadership Insight: Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President to understand their responsibilities and learn about promotional paths within Republic Finance.
• Project Contribution: Learn about one or more Branch Operations process improvement related projects.
• Corporate Overview: Learn about corporate roles, such as Audit, Compliance, Training, and Recruiting, where branch backgrounds are often desired.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field. Entry-Level.
• Experience: Ability to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Skills: Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong work ethic; strong communication and organizational skills; ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing.
