Branch Operations Intern | Republic Finance
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Republic Finance, located onsite in one of our various branches. Republic Finance is a leading consumer lending company serving over 250 communities across the Central and Southeastern US, known for outstanding customer service. This role is crucial for current college Juniors and Seniors to gain real-world experience in finance and business operations, preparing them for a potential long-term career path with the company. The internship focuses on learning daily branch functions, customer service, compliance, and contributing to continuous improvement projects within a growing company that values its employees.
The TL;DR

• Mission: To provide hands-on experience in consumer lending operations, sales, and compliance, with the goal of preparing interns for future full-time employment opportunities.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Loan Process: Become licensed and complete an accelerated Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the entire loan process and all required regulatory training.
• Branch Production: Assist with the daily tasks of loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings, including preparing files for documentation, auditing closed files, and readying files for funding.
• Leadership Exposure: Spend time with Managers and Regional Vice Presidents to understand their responsibilities and learn about the promotional career paths available within Republic Finance.
• Divisional Insight: Attend regional meetings and/or workshops as available to gain broader exposure to the company’s Branch Operations division.
• Project Contribution: Engage in one or more continuous improvement projects related to Branch Operations, collaborating with various departments to enhance business processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a Junior or Senior currently majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field. This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Ability to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Skills: Eager to learn, enthusiastic, reliable with a strong work ethic, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history, and pass a pre-employment drug screen, including eligibility for insurance licensing.
