Branch Operations Intern | Republic Finance

The Tone:
This is a 100% onsite internship at Republic Finance, located at one of the company’s branch locations across the US. Republic Finance is a leading consumer lending company serving over 250 communities, recognized for its outstanding customer service and a focus on people and community impact. This role offers current college students real-world experience, providing an opportunity to learn the daily functions and operations of a branch, understand the broader organization, and explore various career opportunities. The program aims to expand on core college concepts, introduce participants to a bright future, and establish a long-term career path with the company, with a goal of offering full-time employment upon successful completion.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship / Early Career
• Type: Part-time (minimum 18-20 hours per week)
• Location: In-person, at a branch location
• Pay: $15 hourly
• Mission: To learn and assist with daily branch operations, including sales, customer service, compliance, and loan processing, while contributing to continuous improvement projects and exploring career paths within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Become licensed and complete an accelerated Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the comprehensive loan process and necessary regulatory training.
• Assist in the daily production of loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings, including preparing files for documentation, auditing closed files, and readying files for funding.
• Understand promotional paths by spending time with Managers and Regional Vice Presidents to learn their responsibilities and assess career potential.
• Gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division by attending regional meetings and workshops when available during the internship.
• Learn about Branch Operations process improvement projects and understand various corporate roles where a branch background is highly valued, such as Audit, Compliance, Training, and Recruiting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be a current Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field, indicating an Entry-Level career stage.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is required, but candidates must have the ability to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Skills: Eagerness to learn, enthusiasm, reliability, a strong work ethic, strong communication skills, and strong organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for insurance licensing, which includes passing a state-conducted criminal background check.
