What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate ledgers and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in the accounting software.
• Account Management: Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports for management review, providing timely financial information.
• Transaction Oversight: Manage payables and receivables, tracking commissions and expenses.
• Process Support: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and support compliance with company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Proficiency in bookkeeping and finance, with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience: Hands-on experience with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Skills: Comfort working with accounting software, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, effective written and verbal communication, and a high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
• Bonus: Prior experience in real estate or professional services, or relevant certification or coursework in accounting or finance.
