BIM / VDC Intern | EZARC
The Tone:
This is an internship at EZARC, a company dedicated to advancing projects through modular and industrial construction methods. This role is integral to supporting project teams by leveraging Building Information Models. The intern will significantly contribute to improving project constructability, enhancing coordination, and ensuring efficient delivery outcomes. This provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in model production, clash detection, and the nuances of modern construction processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Model Development: Develop and manage detailed Revit models following project and company standards.
• Clash Detection: Facilitate clash detection using Navisworks Manage and manage coordination issues.
• Visual Production: Generate federated models, coordination reports, viewpoints, view sets, and construction visuals.
• Planning Support: Aid in model-based planning for fabrication, installation, site logistics, phasing, and sequencing.
• Data Management: Support quantity takeoffs and visualizations, and organize project files and documentation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled in or recently completed an academic program focusing on BIM/VDC, construction management, engineering, architecture, or drafting.
• Experience: Demonstrated working knowledge of Revit and basic familiarity with Navisworks Manage or a comparable coordination platform. Ability to accurately read and interpret fundamental architectural, structural, and MEP construction documents and grasp core construction concepts.
• Skills: Strong communication and organizational abilities for coordinating with teams. Keen attention to detail for model accuracy and issue tracking. Effective problem-solving skills for resolving coordination challenges.
• Bonus: Prior coursework or project experience specifically related to commercial or industrial construction. Exposure to advanced clash detection techniques, structured coordination workflows, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), or Level of Development (LOD) requirements. Familiarity with platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma, Bluebeam, Tekla Structures, Trimble Connect, or point-cloud workflows. Any field experience or direct interaction with jobsite teams and trade partners is a plus.
