Benefit Engagement Specialist | Lockton
The Tone:
This is a hybrid position with an 80/20 split between remote work and on-site presence at Piedmont Athens Regional in Athens, GA. Lockton is the company, with BCInsourcing providing specialized services. This role is crucial for representing BCInsourcing as a Company Ambassador, providing essential benefit support, and cultivating strong business relationships within the client’s organization. The specialist will serve as a primary resource for employees to understand their total rewards, requiring independent judgment and proactive engagement.

• Mission: Serve as a dedicated benefits expert and ambassador to client employees, guiding them through their core and voluntary benefit options and enrollment processes.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Represent BCInsourcing: Act as the Company Ambassador to Piedmont Athens Regional, engaging with department leaders and client employees to foster effective business relationships.
• Provide Expertise: Participate in HR/Benefit meetings, new employee orientation, and group presentations, offering SME-certified knowledge on benefits to assist managers and employees.
• Engage Employees: Create an approachable environment in workplace locations to counsel employees on their core and voluntary benefit options and coverages.
• Manage Outreach and Enrollment: Analyze census data to create customized reach-out strategies, conduct personalized one-on-one benefit reviews, and accurately capture enrollment decisions.
• Maintain Licensure: Obtain and maintain an active Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Producer’s License, serving as a subject matter expert on insurance mechanics for leadership and employees.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma/GED equivalent or related work experience equivalency, with proven relationship-building experiences.
• Experience: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license for travel to client sites, and demonstrate a self-directed work ethic to represent the company with limited supervision.
• Skills: Professional communication skills, independent decision-making abilities, self-driven time management, analytical skills for census data, and professional verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Bonus: Advanced degree completed or in process, working knowledge of insurance products including core and voluntary benefits, or an existing active Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Producer’s License.
