Benefit Program Technician

The Family Support Division is seeking applications for a Benefit Program Technician. This position will be located in the Cole County Child Support Office based at 615 Howerton Ct., Jefferson City, MO.

About the Role

As a Benefit Program Technician, you will play a crucial role in serving Missouri residents by assessing their Child Support needs through phone calls and in-person interactions. You will assist and guide individuals through the essential processes of establishing paternity orders and managing child support payments (making and receiving). Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls daily, addressing questions related to our programs and resources.
  • Take and distribute information as necessary.
  • Scan and index received information accurately.
  • Enter information into computer-based systems as appropriate.

Qualifications

To succeed and thrive in this role, you must possess a strong combination of qualifications and personal attributes:

  • Education & Experience:
    • A High School diploma or equivalent AND at least four years of customer service experience OR
    • A Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Desired Attributes:

    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Proficient typing skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits

The current rate for this position is $RATE. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g., shift or time-of-service pay).
