Behavior Technician (Naturalistic, Play-Based ABA) | Cortica
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Cortica, serving local communities with a 30-40 minute travel radius. Cortica is dedicated to designing and delivering life-changing care for children with neurodevelopmental differences. This role is crucial for applying a strength-based, neurodiversity-affirming ABA therapy model to empower each child to thrive. You will contribute to a progressive approach that combines neuroscience and developmental models, helping children recognize and build on their unique abilities to foster positive relationships and skills across home, school, and community settings.

• Location: Field-based, serving local communities (30-40 minute travel radius)
• Pay: $20.87–$28.00 per hour
• Team: Collaborates with Lead BTs, ABA Assistant Supervisors, ABA Supervisors, BCBAs, speech-language therapists, music therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, counselors, pediatricians, neurologists, and nurse practitioners.
• Mission: Provide naturalistic, play-based ABA therapy to empower children with neurodevelopmental differences to thrive by building on their unique strengths.
• Tech Stack: EMR systems, Microsoft Office tools
What You’ll Actually Do
• Service Delivery: Provide one-on-one and group behavior-analytic services to children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences.
• Strategy Implementation: Implement positive behavior strategies and evidence-based practices developed collaboratively with your BCBA.
• Data Documentation: Document session data meticulously to effectively track and support individualized treatment goals.
• Environmental Support: Collaborate closely with families and supervisors to establish and maintain supportive environments for children.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to Cortica’s crisis protocols, including de-escalation techniques and mandated reporting procedures.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is also considered.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience working with children. Ability to consistently travel between client sites within a 30–40-minute radius using reliable transportation.
• Skills: Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools. Willingness to obtain the BCAT credential within 90 days of your start date (all training provided).
• Bonus: Prior experience working with individuals with autism.
