Internship Details
Please note: This is an unpaid, for college credit internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility and enrollment to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Support the Baseball Client Services & Marketing team with various tasks.
- Conduct cold calls and marketing outreach as directed.
- Create Excel spreadsheets and pitch decks to organize and conduct marketing outreach.
- Research potential marketing opportunities for current clients and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.
- Assist with various client service needs, including restaurant and hotel reservations, and other needs as they arise.
- Prepare expense reports.
- Assist in organizing client data to enhance client service and marketing efforts.
- Assist with holiday gift ideas, award gifts, etc.
- Perform various administrative duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Education: Degree currently in progress, preferably majoring in a sports-related field.
- Attributes: Organized, self-motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic.
- Professionalism: Professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills.
- Interest: Interest in sports business and sales/marketing, and eagerness to learn about and contribute to the marketing and endorsement efforts of professional athletes.
- Experience (Preferred): Applicants with sales, marketing, business development, and cold call experience are strongly preferred.
- Skills: Well-developed communication, organizational, and time management skills, as well as basic administrative skills.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Integrity: Displays indications of being loyal and trustworthy with the organization and clients.
Internship Program Logistics
- Compensation: For college credit only.
- Duration: Runs from June 9th, 2026 – August 14th, 2026.
- Location: This is a hybrid opportunity – candidates must be able to work out of our Los Angeles based office at least once a week (more days preferred).
