Job Description
Bartender / Bar Associate
Hourly Rate: $10 / hour
Overview
In this role, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming and exciting atmosphere for our guests. You’ll take pride in offering a diverse and seasonally-inspired beverage menu, engaging in warm conversations, and providing helpful suggestions. Your ability to shine will ensure guests look forward to relaxing with you after a long day.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Crafting drinks, pouring beer & wine, and attending to both corporate and leisure guests at the bar.
- Tapping beer kegs and serving draft beer and a variety of bottled alcoholic beverages.
- Taking orders and serving bar bites prepared by the cook.
- Monitoring and managing alcohol sales and consumption in strict adherence to NC Liquor Laws, including diligently checking proper identification for the minimum age requirement of 21 years to purchase alcohol.
- Performing some heavy lifting, such as carrying beer kegs and cases, as required.
- Maintaining the bar, preparation, and all other assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and well-stocked condition at all times.
- Balancing shift reports and cash drawers, and processing credit card payments accurately.
- Answering general guest questions and providing comprehensive information about the property, park, and local area attractions.
- Executing pre and post-shift clean-up procedures to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess the ability to take initiative and uphold the company’s reputation and dedication to safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity.
- Ability to quickly learn and efficiently operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while also being capable of working independently.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check if 18 years of age or older, which may include but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references per company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
