Bar Associate / Bartender
Hourly Rate: $10 / hour
Overview
In this dynamic role, you will be instrumental in creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and exciting for our guests. You will take pride in offering a diverse and seasonally-inspired beverage menu, engaging in warm conversation, and providing helpful suggestions. Your exceptional service will ensure guests look forward to relaxing with you after a long day, creating memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Crafting a variety of beverages, pouring beer and wine, and providing attentive service to both corporate and leisure guests at the bar.
- Managing draft beer operations, including tapping beer kegs and serving a selection of draft and bottled alcoholic beverages.
- Taking food orders and serving bar bites prepared by our cook.
- Diligently monitoring and managing alcohol sales and consumption, strictly adhering to NC Liquor Laws, which includes verifying proper identification for the minimum age requirement of 21 years for alcohol purchases.
- Performing some heavy lifting, such as carrying beer kegs and cases, is required.
- Maintaining an impeccably clean, orderly, and well-stocked bar, preparation, and all other assigned areas at all times.
- Accurately balancing shift reports and the cash drawer, and processing credit card payments.
- Answering general guest questions, providing comprehensive information about the property, the park, and the local area.
- Executing pre and post-shift cleaning duties to ensure a pristine work environment.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a strong sense of initiative and a commitment to maintaining the company’s stellar reputation and dedication to safety, service, courtesy, cleanliness, and integrity.
- Ability to quickly learn and efficiently operate our Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Capable of working effectively both collaboratively in a team setting and independently when required.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet fluctuating business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check if 18 years of age or older, which may include but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references per company policy unless prohibited by federal, state or provincial law.
