Description: Automation Internship
This 14-week internship offers a chance to contribute to high-impact projects within Teva’s Automation team. The role focuses on various stages of simple robotics system development, from prototyping and design to analysis, modeling, verification, and validation. Specific responsibilities include:
• Prototype Development and Testing: Creating detailed design outputs and technical documentation, participating in testing.
• Mechanical Component Design and Development: Assisting in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and prototypes.
• Electromechanical Project Development: Participating in research and development phases of projects involving sensors, actuators, and control systems.
• Test Protocol Execution and Documentation: Executing and documenting test protocols, focusing on relevant metrics to harmonize equipment verification and performance.
• Testing Process Design and Development: Assisting in the design and development of testing processes, emphasizing meaningful metrics.
• Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with mechanical, software, and electrical engineering teams.
Currently pursuings:
• Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with graduation expected within one year of the internship.
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant experience and projects (preferably related to material handling in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing).
• Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical design and electromechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
• Familiarity with electrical schematics capture and board layout.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping and hands-on mechanical assembly.
• Familiarity with robotics and automation in the warehouse and pharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with design controls and pharmaceutical regulations.
Additional Details:
• This is a full-time, on-site internship (40 hours/week).
• The internship runs approximately 13 weeks, with flexibility in timing (spring, summer, or fall 2025).
• Physical requirements include prolonged computer work and the ability to lift/push/carry up to 50 pounds. Exposure to moderate to loud noise is also expected.
