Audit Intern – Summer 2027 | ITW

The Tone:
This is a full-time, temporary internship at ITW, located in Glenview, IL. ITW is a global multi-industry manufacturing leader, creating specialized industrial equipment, consumables, and related service businesses for a wide range of applications from aerospace to healthcare. This Audit Intern role is crucial for supporting ITW’s Enterprise Audit Services team in performing global financial audits, ensuring compliance, and developing future leaders within the organization.

• Mission: Perform financial audits globally to assist with compliance and identify process simplification opportunities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Auditing: Perform a broad spectrum of financial audits to assist with SOX 404 initiative compliance.
• Analysis: Analyze and recommend process simplification opportunities utilizing a variety of audit and financial analysis tools and techniques.
• Documentation: Document work performed during audit engagements.
• Presentation: Assist in preparing and delivering presentations to Management.
• Travel: Travel domestically and internationally up to 40% for audit assignments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university, with final academic graduation prior to August 2028.
• Experience: Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization, ability to multi-task and prioritize, strong organizational skills, attention to detail.
