• Mission: To perform audit testing, reconcile financial data, and assist in drafting audit reports to support the delivery of assurance services for clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Testing: Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Data Analysis: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Report Drafting: Help to draft management letter comments and the audit report.
• Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Candidates must have achieved a minimum grade of C or higher in job-relevant coursework, including intermediate accounting. Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in at least one U.S. State by the role’s start date is required, along with solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience: Entry-level position for accounting students. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
• Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, effective time management, close attention to detail, a problem-solving attitude, and the ability to work well with a team as well as independently.
• Bonus: Prior internships in a public accounting firm performing audit work.
