What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate & Execute: Work closely with engagement team members and clients to obtain necessary information, completing assigned tasks accurately and on time, and maintaining comprehensive, well-supported documentation.
• Develop Expertise: Actively apply coaching and feedback received to enhance technical knowledge and refine work quality, demonstrating initiative, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Assist in Assurance: Support audit and other assurance engagements by performing audit procedures, including testing account balances, transactions, and financial information, and preparing clear workpapers that document procedures, evidence, results, and conclusions.
• Contribute to Tax Engagements: Aid in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, workpapers, and related deliverables, while also conducting tax research and documenting findings to address engagement team questions and client requirements.
• Leverage Technology & Uphold Standards: Utilize firm-approved technologies for audit, tax preparation, data analysis, and collaboration, including responsibly exploring AI-enabled tools, all while upholding firm policies, professional standards, and client confidentiality.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or a related business discipline from an accredited institution, with at least one academic term remaining after the internship, and on track to meet CPA exam eligibility requirements prior to a full-time Associate position.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required.
• Skills: Foundational accounting knowledge from academic coursework; ability to conduct basic research, analyze information, and document findings clearly and accurately; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bonus: Previous internship, academic, leadership, volunteer, or customer service experience; demonstrated interest in accounting or professional services; clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; curiosity, learning agility, and willingness to ask questions and apply feedback; effective collaboration, organization, time management, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and client service.
