Senior Associate – Technology | Lazard

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Direct financial analyses and rigorously review complex financial models to support comprehensive advisory engagements.
• Client Materials: Lead the meticulous preparation and creation of all client presentations and essential marketing materials for transactions.
• Relationship Management: Build and cultivate direct relationships with senior client executives, sponsors, and other key transaction counterparties.
• Deal Execution: Manage critical deal processes, encompassing the full execution of M&A, capital raising, and other advisory transactions, including overseeing due diligence and document coordination.
• Team Leadership: Coach, develop, and effectively oversee Analysts and Junior Associates, ensuring a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with core domain knowledge in investment banking, specifically within financial advisory and the technology sector.
• Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of investment banking experience, with M&A experience strongly preferred. Meaningful exposure to the Technology sector, including significant experience in both buyside and sellside transactions in the corporate and sponsor arenas.
• Skills: Strong quantitative background and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with strong client and presentation abilities; ability to manage competing priorities and handle a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment; proven ability to support, manage, and empower junior bankers; fluency in the use of AI tools and prompt engineering.
• Bonus: An MBA and/or JD would be an asset.
