What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Foundation Development: Develop a well-rounded tax foundation through comprehensive income tax planning and meticulous return preparation for a variety of clients, encompassing individual, fiduciary, partnership, corporate, and not-for-profit entities.
• Estimate Preparation: Accurately prepare quarterly tax estimates for clients, applying appropriate techniques and current tax regulations to ensure compliance and optimize financial outcomes.
• Accounting Skill Application: Sharpen accounting skills by creating financial statements from bank statements, booking journal entries, and generating personal balance sheets or net worth statements.
• Business Advisory: Provide essential support to businesses regarding complex provisions, international tax issues, multi-state compliance challenges, and crucial mergers and acquisitions, alongside other specialized tax services.
• Legacy Planning: Assist individuals in building and preserving their legacies through strategic estate and gift tax planning, as well as providing guidance on charitable giving and philanthropy services.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professional currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s program with a concentrated study in accounting.
• Experience: Candidates must have a final graduation date occurring between December 2026 and October 2027, ensuring that all educational requirements for California CPA licensure are completed prior to the group start date.
• Skills: Demonstrates clear, professional written and oral communication abilities; possesses or is developing a strong understanding of tax law and line-item components of a tax return; proficient in core accounting skills such as creating financial statements, booking journal entries, and generating net worth statements.
• Bonus: A minimum overall GPA of 3.2 is required, with a higher major GPA preferred; all accounting courses must have been completed for a letter grade.
