The Tone:

This Associate position is an early career role pivotal for new professionals to build a strong technical foundation and develop essential work habits, serving as the basis for all future advancement within the firm. What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120) under supervision.
• Accounting Services: Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and general ledger work for clients under supervision.
• Attest Fieldwork: Execute assigned attest fieldwork with appropriate supervision.
• Workpaper Management: Produce workpapers that are meticulously organized, fully tied out, and prepared for review, ensuring all open items are clearly flagged to facilitate efficient review processes.
• Technical Research & Client Communication: Conduct basic technical research using firm resources to bring proposed answers to the team and professionally communicate with clients to gather information and request missing items.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax, or a closely related field. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and fundamental tax concepts.
• Experience: Requires 1 to 2 years of professional experience; relevant internship experience is a definite plus. Proficiency in Excel is essential, alongside the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the firm’s specific tax, accounting, and operational technology systems.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and consistent follow through on all assignments.
• Bonus: Actively pursuing or already CPA eligible for licensure is a significant advantage for this role.
