What You’ll Actually Do
• Fund Accounting: Record daily journal entries and maintain supporting schedules for cash, capital activity, fund expenses, and other fund transactions.
• Cash Operations: Prepare cash and bank reconciliations, research reconciling items, and escalate unresolved exceptions in a timely manner.
• Payment Processing: Assist with the end-to-end processing of approved fund-level payments, including operating expenses, professional fees, and investment funding.
• Financial Reporting: Assist with quarterly and annual reporting packages, financial statements, and supporting documentation for management, client, audit, and tax requests.
• Internal Controls: Assist with quarterly internal control monitoring, related annual external control audit requests, user-access reviews, and issue tracking.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, well-suited to an early-career accounting or finance professional. Foundational knowledge of accounting, cash activity, bank reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Experience: Zero to two years of relevant experience in fund administration, private equity fund accounting, treasury or payment operations, investor services, audit, or other financial services; internships and co-op experience are considered.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to validating payment and distribution data. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Exposure to private equity fund structures, capital calls, and investor distributions. Experience supporting payment processing, investor distributions, audit or control testing, or cash operations. Knowledge of Investran. Familiarity with multiple online banking portals, treasury-management, document-management, or investor-portal platforms.
