The TL;DR

• Pay: $150,000–$275,000 yearly
• Team: Part of the Media & Communications Investment Banking Group, working on a team with senior professionals.
• Mission: Deliver high-quality financial advice and creative solutions to clients within the Media & Communications sector to help them achieve their strategic goals.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Advise: Deliver high-quality financial advice to clients within the Media & Communications sector.
• Collaborate: Work closely with professionals throughout the firm to execute client engagements.
• Execute: Contribute to and support the execution of M&A deals and transactions across various industry sectors.
• Strategize: Play an important role in a team by bringing creative thinking that goes beyond financial numbers.
• Support: Assist clients in managing and allocating capital effectively to reach their specific objectives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field (or foreign equivalent) required; career level is Associate or Vice President.
• Experience: 4-7 years of experience within the investment banking industry, or 1-3+ years of post-MBA experience, with a proven track record working on executed deals across M&A and various industry sectors.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, Client and interpersonal skills, Commercial instinct, Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines, Series licensing or must obtain.
• Bonus: An MBA and/or CFA designation.
