Richard, Wayne & Roberts is partnering with a growing boutique construction law firm actively seeking to expand its Houston team by adding both Associate and Senior Attorneys. The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Case Management: Independently manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of construction litigation cases, taking full ownership from initial filing through resolution.
• Legal Drafting: Prepare and draft a wide range of critical legal documents, including pleadings, complex motions, discovery requests, and other necessary filings for litigation proceedings.
• Client Representation: Actively represent clients in various legal forums, participating in and conducting hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Strategic Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research and apply strong analytical skills to develop effective legal strategies and provide sound advice on complex construction law matters.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development and actively pursue opportunities for career advancement and increased responsibility within a collaborative and supportive firm setting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Active Texas Bar license.
• Experience:
• For Associate candidates: 3–7 years of general litigation experience.
• For Senior candidates: 7+ years of construction litigation experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience managing cases, drafting pleadings and motions, and attending hearings, mediations, arbitrations, or trials.
• Skills: Strong capabilities in legal research, legal writing, and analytical reasoning.
• Bonus: Experience specifically in construction law, contracts, or Mechanics and Materialmen’s (M&M) lien matters.
