Investment Banking Associate – Vertical Software, Data and Analytics | TD Securities

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TD Securities, located in New York, New York, United States of America. The company expanded its U.S. equities business and investment bank through the acquisition of Cowen Inc. in 2023. This role is essential for providing critical structuring, marketing, and execution support to senior team members within the specialized Vertical Software, Data and Analytics Investment Banking group.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Senior Leadership: Provide structure, transactional, and marketing support at a professional and subject matter expert level to senior team members.
• Market Analysis: Research and analyze clients’ financial situations, industry data, market trends, and mergers and acquisition opportunities.
• Financial Modeling: Perform complex financial and M&A modeling to value both private and public companies.
• Presentation and Documentation: Prepare external client proposals, internal underwriting memos, and client presentations based on financial analysis.
• Team Oversight: Work closely with and oversee junior colleagues to ensure accuracy and provide direction, training, and development to staff.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.
• Experience: 3+ Years of related experience in an investment banking or similar financial role.
• Skills: Possession of SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses; proficiency in financial and M&A modeling; ability to prepare client proposals and presentations; strong financial analysis capabilities.
