Investing Associate | Evergreen

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Evergreen, located in San Francisco, CA (Hybrid). Evergreen Services Group is a San Francisco-based holding company that acquires and operates B2B services companies across North America. This Associate role is crucial for executing acquisitions from start to finish and contributing to the evolution of the capital allocation strategy. Evergreen is a uniquely long-term oriented holding company that seeks to hold and grow businesses indefinitely, rather than following the 5-7 year holding period of a typical private equity fund.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Due Diligence: Perform due diligence, analysis, and execution across multiple simultaneous acquisitions.
• Investment Documentation: Prepare investment memos and letters of intent, and present investment opportunities and findings to the team and investors.
• Financial Modeling: Construct detailed financial models and conduct returns analyses.
• Transaction Coordination: Coordinate the execution of investment transactions across all involved parties, including due diligence providers, counsel, investors, and portfolio company management.
• Mentorship: Mentor and support junior analysts through their early career development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience in investment banking or private equity investing, with a strong understanding of accounting and finance.
• Experience: 2 years of investment banking or private equity investing experience.
• Skills: Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills, strong communication skills.
